The Company was founded in December, 1996 and is one of the biggest ship owner in Lithuania.

The company’s vessels are certificated for the conformity to the international EURO-1 regulations, aiming at the increasing of quality of fish products.

Good knowledge of market, elaborated investment politic allowed quick and successful development of the company.

Now JSC “Baltlanta” is the major oceanic fishing company of Baltic countries, which are new members of the European Union.

The total tonnage of fleet of JSC "Baltlanta" makes more than 53 000 Register tons.

The company operates 11 fishing vessels and 5 transport reefers.

The fleet includes a tanker, which provides fishing ships with fuel in the fishing zone, without interrupting their work.

The company’s fleet is under control of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and is insured by SOVAG, Germany.

The company’s fleet flies flag of Lithuania.

All vessels have highly skilled crews.

Sales of the company increased by 9 times since 1999 till 2002 as a result of quantitative growth of fleet, ship’s technical modernization, their effective exploitation and growth of company’s prestige.

Now it is continuing a planned modernization of JSC “Baltlanta” fleet. Some years ago the company sought to overhaul its existing enough old ships, already two years the large ships are not only repaired, but are modernized with its class modification and considerable improvement of their technical characteristics in order to satisfy the best world standards.
